introducing.....

there is now a new addition at the utterson estates!!!  gracie clover thompson!  she has literally been home for under an hour and i think she will be fitting in perfectly in our home and hearts.

her markings are incredible (note the face on her hip)  as well as those big brown eyes and big smile.  we are sooooo happy to have a dog in our home once again.

until next time...

new year new starts

alright, it's a new year.  with a new year comes new starts!

this year i've joined the bohemian gallery co-op in bracebridge with DD's cafe and bake house serving up yummies in the back.  the grand re-opening is friday january 20th 7-9 which also includes the fundraiser celebrity portraits - featuring peaches.
come out and have some fun supporting your local artists.

we're also, ever slowly, renovating our little home.  with the electrical being updated at the end of the month and a new roof reno scheduled for the spring, things will be rolling for this summer season open studio.  stay tuned for details. now i just have to dig out the studio and get making.  :)

until next time..

she's home sweet home!!!

i picked up my sadie lady this morning.  :)  with a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the bracebridge animal hospital for taking such good care of my girl.  she's pretty groggy and not liking the cone too much but she can now rest and heal comfortably in her own home.
feeling groggy...
getting comfortable (with some soft food schmutz on her nose)..
snug as a bug in a rug...

she has her check up appointment on tuesday morning and i'm guessing sleeping is going to be her agenda for the next couple of days.  she does seem to be walking on her operated foot fine, her foot is quite padded but that's still good to see.
what i woke up to the morning of her surgery.  i love how the sun is just lighting the tops of the trees.

we're hoping her recovery will be quick so she can get back to sniffin' sniffs and giving stinky kisses.  thanks to all.   your love and support has helped us through, much gratitude and love.

until next time...
