friday's chatterings
so having yourself as your own boss has it's difficulties and benefits. you make your own hours, good, you make your own hours, bad. i'm trying to find a balance on time of working. i feel bad that i'm not up and at em but it's not like i'm not working. just later. it seems like although i love working in the morning i have a tendency to ease into the day, then i'm basically working from noonish till the late evening. that's still a mighty long day just not what i thought i would be doing. i pictured myself up in the early morning light with coffee in hand, nope i hit the snooze about 14 times and then i slowly get out of bed. oh i don't know, i think i'm over thinking it. as long as i'm working forward it shouldn't really matter when i get things done just that i am. when do you feel that you're the most productive?

I totally understand what your feeling... My days seem to lull by and then I'm left with a evening list of to-do's! How is this possible when I have ALL DAY! :} I've tried to be more productive in the mornings but I find my set backs are the computer and the computer...lol! I try to start my tasks of the day then turn on Mrs.apple, I seem to fall down the rabbit hole every time I sit down and log into my accounts: P

damn the computer, damn it to hell *shakes fist into the air*
ReplyDeleteas a communicative and educational tool the computer is awesome. it's all of the other schlock i get involved with that is the problem. ;)

I hear ya chickypoopoo.
ReplyDeleteI also work from home. But I have two little rotters that I have to get on the bus first. So I am up at 7am. If I didn't have to do that...snooze button city...actually I wouldn't even have an alarm clock (wait I don't...I get a wake up call from the honey)
So, once they are on the bus (still in housecoat) I turn on the computer, doing my morning scroll through my sites. Then I work on breakfast. Then I scroll through my sites again...Then I start work and I work till lunch, eat, scroll through my sites, then work till 3:30 (then get dressed) I then have 20 min to scroll through my sites LOL, then the chicklins comes through the door. It is at this point I become domestic...prepping dinner, laundry, cleaning (makes me look like a busy mom) then family time after supper. Another scroll before I go to bed (hmmm maybe I should change the scroll to stroll) might help with that extra big around the waist.
Benefits....you are at peace (or try to be)
Our bodies need their sleep...so know you are super duper healthy sleeping in and not shocking the system, by the alarm...throw it out! SLEEP! If you find you are most productive and creative from noon on...then start your day at noon. But remember...pick the hours you are going to work (I need to reward myself with work...like a scroll)
Stop thinking about it...benefits...it's when other people think you are just sitting at home eating bonbons all day and call you up to chat, or want you to go out and do something with them...then that becomes a problem...I"M WORKING DAMMIT! ;)
